cherry-pick-bot

A bot to help you cherry-pick PRs that are ready to merge but need a rebase.

Usage

To cherry a pick a PR, just comment @cherry-pick-bot on the PR. You need to have a valid and public email address for this to work.

If you want to rebase an already-cherry-picked PR, simply close that one and cherry-pick it again (by commenting @cherry-pick-bot on the cherry-picked PR).

Dependencies

Dependencies: oauth2, go-github, and context. To install these:

$ go get -u golang.org/x/oauth2
$ go get -u github.com/google/go-github
$ go get -u golang.org/x/net/context

Running

You can set the config values in src/config/config.go. To start the server:

$ go build cherry_pick_bot.go
$ ./cherry_pick_bot

Alternatively you can also set the following environment variables:

$ export GITHUB_ACCESS_TOKEN=access_token_goes_here
$ export PRIVATE_KEY=/path/to/ssh/key
$ export GITHUB_EMAIL=email@example.com
$ # and then start the server
$ ./cherry_pick_bot
