mesh-gen

microservices have a lot of duplicate basic codes, you have to copy-paste them for every service. mesher can generate that codes for you.

• generate project scaffold, kubernetes resources, and dockerfile
• generate testing, handler, and client code form protobuf definition file

TL;DR:

just run this ,then your new microservice is ready for business logic

go install github.com/catusax/mesh-gen/cmd/mesh-gen@latest
mesh-gen new my-service
cd my-service

# edit proto/my-service.proto

make init proto tidy

config

mesher reads config form Makefile,you can edit variables in Makefile, then regenerate k8s resource.

protoc --proto_path=. --go-grpc_out=. --go_out=:. --go-mesh-gen=. --go-mesh-gen_opt=mesh=<traefik or istio>,namespace=<k8s namespace to put your service>,port=<service port for client connecting> proto/<file>.proto
