* Innervate

A development oriented proxy server based off of [[https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/procfile][procfiles]] and [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multicast_DNS][multicast dns]]. Inspired by [[http://pow.cx/][Pow]].

** Installation

*** From Source (OSX)

1. Install Go and set up your $GOPATH
2. Clone this repo
3. Run =bash __support__/install.sh=

** Usage

Symlink any application that has a procfile (or a config.ru) into the configuration directory.

Navigate to your application

** Configuration options

Innervate uses system links manage the applications being served. It supports the following flags to 
configure global behavior. To use these flags, edit Innervate's init script (plist/systemd unit/etc)
and relaunch the binary via your initd.

*** =-config= 

The location of the configuration directory. Defaults to =/usr/local/etc/innervate=.

*** =-port=

The port to run the proxy on. For development purposes, it defaults to =8080= but default installations should 
set it to =80=.

*** =-restart=

Whether to terminate in a way to have the initd restart Innervate. Defaults to =false= for development, but
default installations should set it to =true=

*** =-start-port=

The port to start at when assigning ports for hosted services. Defaults to =10000=.

*** =-tld=

The top level domain to use for DNS entries. Per [[https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2606][RFC 2606]] this defaults to =localhost=.
